Hi Alana! I saw this linked over at Made By Me Mondays. You totally got me at the name crack! I make a candy bark that is so additive that we call it crack. Your cake looks divine and I've pinned it! I am following you now and would love for you to participate in my Pin Me Linky Party. I allow up to 3 links each week!
This is one of my family's favorite cakes! I have been making it for years with plain yogurt in the place of sour cream, and sugar free/fat free pudding mix...I figure every little calorie saved helps ;-) My soon-to-be 10 year old has just requested this for her birthday in a couple of weeks, and looking at the pictures has convinced me that it is a good idea!
I've been making this cake for many years. It's delicious and always well received by anyone who loves chocolate. I've made it in a bundt with a chocolate icing; in a 9x13 pan with cream cheese icing. Both are fantastic! Thanks, this is a great cake to feature.
Oh man, does this look good! So good, it's being featured on Totally Tasty Tuesdays tomorrow! Can't wait to see what else you link up this week. Congrats!
I make a cake very very similar to this recipe... If you want to send yourself into the upper echelons of chocolate euphoria, after you spray/grease the pan, dust it with Hershey's Special Dark Cocoa Powder.. O-M-G...... Also, adding a bit of espresso powder (like the little packets of Starbucks Via instant coffee) to the batter do crazy delicious things to this cake.... Okay, now I have to go bake a cake... :-)
You had me at chocolate.....
ReplyDeleteChocolate is my weakness! I guess that's why one of my goals this year is to use the gym more!!
DeleteJust looking at your cake has piled on the pounds. It sounds delicious. Thanks for sharing.
